Where does the title of the blog came from?

 

The name Gaviota is in honor of my beloved father, as a child he used to call me Gaviota, which in Spanish means seagull.

The quill makes reference to my writing.  From a very young age I started writing stories and poems. I used to sign them with my name and the name of my country of origin, Costa Rica. 

​

As a child I dreamed that those writings would reach the whole world and I wanted everyone to know that I was from Costa Rica!

What about the paintings that go with each blog entry?

Two years ago I started painting with fluid acrylics as a way to deal with my father's unexpected passing.  The paintings that you see in each blog are original.  Further on I will add a link where you will see photos of all the paintings.
